Turalba Rural… Centre Park for backpackers!

5/ 5

About the rating, I wouldn’t say it was luxurious, but we had great facilities e.g a small shop at the accommodation, swimming pool and gym, free use of kayaks & bicycles, BBQ areas. It was like centre parks for backpackers. I worked at Mackays Gold Tyne, Lakeland, packing bananas, and would also give that a 5* review. 135 each per week for twin room with my best friend. Single rooms $165 per week, bunk rooms $135 per week, caravans & cabins $150-170 per week. no dorms on site at all, and a free shuttle bus to farms.

Free shuttle bus to work. ( We worked packing banans at MacKays Gold Tyne).

Share lifts with backpackers who had cars. Small (expensive) shop at the accommodation but you could easily live off those supplies. 40 mins drive to IGA in the nearest town, Cooktown Nearest Coles supermarket was in Mareeba, 3 hour drive Cairns was nearest city, 3.5 hour drive We would often share lifts to Mareeba and bulk buy groceries/food to last for a few weeks.

No more than 2 per room. A lot of single rooms, caravans, cabins available which were great
