small farm an hour from Brisbane

5/ 5

Please for more information contact: valleyprideproduce@hotmail.com Hey backpackers! Just finished my 88 days of farm work at Valley Pride Produce and I know it’s hard to find a place you can’t trust and gives good hours of work! So I thought I’d just give you guys some recommendations! If you are traveling alone like I was and your a bit afraid of going somewhere in the middle of nowhere alone I would recommend this farm. It’s a little farm an hour away from Brisbane with up to 10-12 backpackers max. You will be picking and packing vegetables, it’s hard work but all farm work is! You rent a room with them in a house they have only for backpackers! It’s a nice house. If you are a good worker you’ll end up having a great time and meet real nice people like I did!

Good places for your farmwork

5/ 5

Finished my 88 days here, and got my 2nd year visa approved within minutes!! It’s a great place to save your money as well, as there is not much to do on your day off. Yes, 1 day off. This is the saturday. So work is 6 days a week, hours change per day. It’s picking and packing vegetables. Depending on the season, winter has more to do, so more hours every day. Summer is slower, but still can get 12 hour days. No hostel. They have 2 houses where the backpackers live in summer, 1 house in winter as ther will be less people working/needed. No more then 2 people per room. I stayed 4 months, had a great time!!
